It is the aim of the EFL Department to:
Serve the language needs in all subject areas. Accordingly, after language competence is addressed on school entry, the department seeks to develop and establish basic skills for classroom enquiries and responses; to assist in comprehension of questions and expression of answers and to participate fully in their chosen courses in all areas of the curriculum. All activities below are differentiated for the appropriate levels.|
Speaking Skills Interaction: active listening and appropriately developed responses | |
| Listening Skills Graded materials, exercising skills in comprehension, appreciation of register and tested by exercises involving sentence completion and gap filling. | |

Reading Graded to appropriate level, teaching for interpretation, appreciation structure, appropriate tense usage and word order and extending knowledge of vocabulary and word formation. | |

Use of English Appropriately graded exercises, practicing manipulation of structure, appropriate tense usage and word order and applying knowledge of vocabulary and word formation. | |

Writing Graded from beginners to extended writing assignments at advanced level including writing in formal and informal mode. |
